Nonoi College is the single higher educational institute of the greater Nonoi area. The College was
established with due permission from the Gauhati University and it is playing a pivotal role for the
cause of higher education in this economically backward area. Since its inception due to the efforts
of some extraordinary personalities of public life, teacher and students, the college has reached the
present position. At present only arts faculty has been opened, but in near future, attempt will be
made to open Science and Commerce faculties also. Assamese, English, Elective Assamese, Economics,
Education, Folklore, History, Geography, Political Science and Psychology subjects are in the college
now. The college is providing major courses in English, Assamese, Political Science & Education. In
the forthcoming years, the college authority will try to open the major courses in all other subjects.
Experience of the Sr. Asstt. Professors make the teaching fruitful and as a result, the students are
highly benefited. We believe in the triangular process of learning i.e. Teachers-Students-Parents.
The Chief aim of our institution is to make the student socially and academically responsible citizens of future.
